My biggest concern per nowadays

It's all about THIS!
One thing has been worrying me as of lately. I recently have been in a pretty hectic school life's schedule --i.e., due to me having not only lectures but also tutorials to attend plus weekly homework of all courses to do as well. Busy, busy.

For me, my Uni life couldn't get any worse than this term because, well, obviously because with this much in my hand I've had enough already. Migraines here and there.

But, it's not about my busy weekly life that I wanted to rant here. Yes, above issues are my concern, too. Who said not?

To be honest, there is one thing that's still haunting me up to now. Deep inside my fragile heart, this issue worries me a lot; more than me feeling troubled with flight delays or the high-rocketing transfer fees. This is more than all of those concerns you may think I may have concerned about.

This is about something that deals with a matter of surviving life and improving your life even better, and bigger. Literally.

I've aforementioned that recently I'm in a busy mode. Now my biggest concern starts from there (ehm, slash that!), now, my biggest concern has become even more bigger (ignore grammar here, please!) because the busier I am, the more I want to have... food.

I, uh, I know that it seems is clear that I am fond of food quite*something*big, perhaps the number of times I think about food is higher than any common people (=one common person x 60 x 24 per lazy day).

It's awesomely frightening if you really count how many times I crave for food. It's scary you don't even want to know!

Well, this is precisely what makes me feel uneasy.

Lately, I've slept too much that I lost count. I even forgot whether it's night or day. Ahem, OK, I exaggerate here a little bit, but more or less so, so...

I don't even do a proper exercise for the sake of my health. What's more, I don't like exercising. It's exhausting, because I get tired easily. (Yeah, that's exactly why you need exercise, you fool girl! Ugh, I can't believe I write it to myself... Oh, dilemma!)

Then, the craving for food is such an annoyance. Like, right now, while I'm typing for this post my brain keeps sending me a signal for food. I'm hungry, hungry, hangrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee... oops. Lose control, my bad.

Guess, I should stop here. Gotta grab something to eat, or else...

Mesir, Innallaha ma'ana...

What I wanted to say here...

I have nothing left to say for the regrettable incident in the Muslim world. I have nothing more to share in regards with the terrible situation happened in the Muslim world. I have nothing...

I only have one thing. I only have my mind, my heart, and my soul to the syuhada, to the Muslims who were wrongly killed in their attempt to seek for justice. In Mesir, Egypt.

I have read, I have heard, I have come to many people who either supported or opposed to their effort.

Some said they shouldn't have been killed, some said they were mere terrorists.

But, what most people should realize is that, what was the justification for some group to have the right to take the life of others?

What made that group think that holding a demonstration could mean a terror and so the protesters should be killed?

What was the killing for? For shutting them up? For the sake of instilling fear? For... fun?

On top of that, why killed the people who shared the same faith, same nation, same blood as you... why must you go to that extent?

....

I have nothing more to say

I can only offer them, the syuhada, a pray

La tahzan, Egyptian Muslim brothers and sisters, la tahzan... Innallaha ma'ana

Don't be afraid, don't be sad, don't get upset

If life looks cruel to you, and people turn their back on you

Don't lose your hopes, because there is Allah

Because Allah is forever with us

The fate of my laundry

Having been raining the whole week, on and off, I still decided to do my laundry because... well, there will be a hell lot of laundry piling in the laundry basket if I ignored this calling.

But, fear not my friends, since I am sooo smart, I knew just what to do to change the fate of my laundry. Unlike my housemates, I wouldn't let my laundry hanging unprotected. It's a no-no in my diary, uhm, I mean, dictionary.

I wouldn't let my laundry having almost dry for getting wet again because the rain has been pouring down on and off non stop, although... we've already double checked it with the weather forecast sites just to make sure today was not going to rain... for it then suddenly rained.

Anyway, not to say that the forecast was incorrect, just it's unreliable, a bit.

That said, I then realized that to overcome this issue, there is one thing I obviously can do. Y'know, it's the must-use item that every household, every person sane enough out there need to provide to shield themselves from the attacks of the rain. (well, rain certainly does not attack, I only make it more dramatic here...)

For sure, you people must recognize this one particular familiar item, necessary worldwide since its first introduction in whatever year of era I don't know (sorry, no time to do research for this).

Yep, you guess it right, people. It's the umbrella.

(wait, none of you guess it's a raincoat, don't you?)

Well, then, how does it look like to solve the issue of protecting laundry under the heavy downpour of rain?

See it for yourself, here is a valuable alternative provided by me.

Whoa, I'm such a genius... hehe. *bragging since no one is praising :D

Some number to celebrate amidst my assignments...

Hurray for me... heh heh

This whatever-blog has just reached another milestone *ahem*  to a figure of 30,000 something. What a surprise, eh?

I'm even more surprised of myself... still manage to slip away just to post this image in here despite having a due tomorrow night. Yep, you read it clearly. TOMORROW, I'm having a deadline for one of my assignments...

Hang in there, me! T T

Anyway, something to celebrate here... Yippiee!!!!

Presenting you a dose of Brave-rable moments...

...and since I kept forgetting to write about me going to the cinema to watch 'Brave', a Pixar animated film, around July last year, now I take the time to overflow my blog with still images and gifs of Brave... which I had taken off from various sites, ehe... *anyway, I need to show my gratitude for the people who had made them... Thank you so much, people... I can't do this without your help...

Okay, off to my writing...

Meet the main character of the film, Merida of DunBroch, who apparently is a willful princess. Determined to get what she believes is right. Has a clash with her mother...

...and, has brothers, who are triplets.

There are two things that were quite memorable to me; the moment where Merida's mother turned into a bear, and the triplets aka the boys.

It was very heart-touching for me when the mother became a big bear. FYI, my friends and I were even watching it teary eyed as the film showed us the heartbreaking scenes. You see, all of us were far from home, from family, and the fact the film was then depicting a warming mother-daughter relationship, with bickering and all... shouldn't get too surprised if we broke down in tears.

The other time when I felt good about the film was when it showed THE BOYS!!

They were so adorable, they were so cute that I, for a split second there, wanted to bring them back home... hehe. Before I realized that they were just fictional characters. Duh.

Quick infos: Merida describes her triplet brothers as wee devils,

who love deserts to no end.

Yet, I love it when they always find a way to get to the cakes. Don't believe me? Here's a proof.

preparing to ready, set...
action!! GRAB'EM ALL!!

Oh, here is another way...

Mischief at the dinner table... What's under your shirts, boys?

Them falling down is hilarious to watch... 'course, not to forget the cakes

So, apparently, the boys have NAMES! Thank you very much, that helps A LOT! I suspect that you might have wondered what their names are...

eyeing the 'curse' cake which then turned them into...

...cute 'lil black bear cubs
But, they seem to have no regrets being cursed (like their mother) into... bear cubs. Still, playing mischief.
Cute, though...hehe.

I believe they are Hamish, Hubert, Harris... in respective order...

Somehow, I can understand Merida's feeling if things turned out this way... Having naughty little brothers is one thing, but having three mischievous little brother-turned-bear cubs is another thing!

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, this is the end of my post... below is my after-watching moment.

Lookiee here, I got to take a picture with one of the boys. Hmm, I reckoned this was Harris... uh, wait, it might be Hamish, though... or, perhaps, Hubert? Arrgh, whatever... why didn't he wear a name tag??

Now, now, if anybody out there may proceed to take a guess on who this cheeky boy is>>>

I give you clues: curly redheaded, likes playing pranks, loves sweets, adorable.

Alternatives:
a. Hamish
b. Hubert
c. Harris

An example of English translation of Indonesian colloquial speech

SO, (as anybody may not know), I'm currently pursuing a degree in translation and interpreting studies. Stream: Indonesian (of course!).

One time we had a tutorial, doing translation from Indonesian source text to English, as the target language.

As I always have this difficulty, to translate Indonesian text to English, I felt especially relieved when my tutor, an Australian lady who has incredible skills in Indonesian, thought that my English translation of Indonesian colloquial speech was veeery nice. Teehee.

Just so you know, this particular speech was from a Minister of Indonesia... so then, translating it was kind of, uhm, hard? Hard that his speaking was very LOVELY that my classmates and I had a terrible time understanding his messages... Duh.

Anyway, here is what I had done in that tutorial

The English translation:

“Take a topic about river for example. The materials for the Natural Sciences are already there. In the river, there is water. The water’s formula is H2O. The water can flow, why, because there is a difference of water pressure. Water also has degree of clarity. Water can also be used for washing before prayers. So, one subject can be linked to anything. Say, there is waste in the river, the river gets polluted, and so forth. Therefore, the children have a complete competence. The primary school children will not get separate approaches, but an integrated one. It will be easier to learn from small things when they grow up,” he explained.

My tutor commented:

The translation was nice because I kept the colloquial feeling in the English translation, therefore, the translation is quite faithful to the source text.

My thought:

Phew! What a task!

"I can't seem to fit them all in with my hands..."

Happy Condolence!

I should've done my assignments... duh, but the urge to lament my heartbreaking moment is bigger than the fact that I have three dues. God, please forgive me...

Perhaps this is the very first time that I post something in my blog that relates to sports. Ah, this does not mean that I am suddenly beginning to do any exercise, though recently I've learned how to swim (note that!!) and started to play badminton again (HA!). Very impressive turnaround for me, I must say. And all of those were due to my friends kept nagging me to join them. Which was worked, none the less.

What I wanted to rant here is after another miracle did not appear anywhere close inside the majestic football stadium of FC Barcelona, one of the largest stadium in the world, Camp Nou.

Yes, you guess it right. I am one of those Cules who regard Barca as their favorite football club. (well, I'm also fond of Juventus in Serie A, as well as Man United in Premier League. Just happen that Barca is my No. 1)

Anyway, this current Barca squad could not make it to the Champions League final... very sad thing, for us Cules, obviously... but, what makes it more painful is that the loss is quite a big blow. An aggregate of 7-0 for Bayern Munchen, the German side who crushed this Barca this time around, is enough evidence how much it hurts me so bad. So bad that whenever I see someone wearing Bayern jersey, I feel this pain (I'm sensitive, you know, heuheu). I can't stand the reality that the Barca I support currently did not bounce back to at least score a goal to lower the deficit. (just so you know, I'm not talking about an own goal by Pique)

Nevertheless, for the good and the bad times, this erroneous performance of Barca should be a giant lesson for next time.

As for now, I'd like to reminisce the time when a magical comeback once happened in Camp Nou. (yes, I'm referring to 4-0 win, that Barca magnificently attained after AC Milan thrashed them 2-0)

Let me 'Happy Condolence' myself.

Hurt Much? VERY.

I find it is very stupid of me to actually post a 'test from God' aka accident of my OWN in my very own BLOG. Heh. (on a side note, is there any saying that goes something like 'stupid things follow stupid people'? if there is, then I'm in serious problem...)

So, about a week ago I was a bit unfortunate. Though I knew that it was such a FATEful event in my life. Getting hit by a can of tuna. (There you go!) Right on my face. Under my eye. Very precise. It was so fateful that I was deeply grateful God was very very Merciful He did not let the tuna can hit my dear eyes. *sobs

How did I get entangled with the tuna can you ask? Clearly enough it was not because I liked to have a physical contact with a tuna. A tuna can to be exact.

And on my poor face of all places. I was sane enough to know that a tuna can was meant for eating.

I was trying to take a box of tissue that time. My friend and I had just finished dinner and we ran out of the tissue on the table. So, I just casually took it out from the kitchen's cabinet which was above me. I realized there were some tuna cans piling up right beside the tissue box. And it seemed that when I tried to take the tissue out, the edge of the box must have touched the cans at the upper level. Two of the tuna cans fell down, and being a shorty, though not that so shorty that I was...while looking up to the cabinet, one of the falling cans landed nicely onto my face before it reached the floor. Very nicely, that it left such a deep impression on me. I felt stunned for a second there and pain none the less, before I quickly realized that I got hit by the tuna can. It was really really hurt.

I then noticed that it left my face a mark. A scar. Duh.

And I really disliked seeing blood... urrgh, so soon after I applied some medicine to help recover the scar. It worked, apparently, although few days later I kept having pain especially around my eye.

Now, the scar has begun to slowly disappear, but the swelling seems taking longer to heal... still feeling pain when touching it... I'm just afraid since it is under my eye... What if something and something happens and affects my eye? What if... Okay, enough with this stupid hallucination.

Fact is, I do pray it will heal completely soon...

Fine, fine, I'm still having stupid hallucination. Oh, God, getting rid of stupid feelings sure is a hard thing.

no, this was not the perpetrator... I 'kidnapped' this image from the internet (and edited the image to make it more dramatic) just to let you all know the look of its twin which was the real perpetrator, apparently...

If a mistake could be anymore sillier

On one of the days, of one things I could do... I chose to make a mistake.

The stupidest. The silliest. The dumbest. Of all the mistakes the world possibly has.

That time, that I will remember my whole life.

That time, when I thought I should get rid of some unused software installed in my laptop. I went to >Start< then to >Control Panel< then I clicked on >Programs and Features< then moved the cursor until I saw >Uninstall a Program<

I found what I wanted. Clicked on a particular program in the list. Uninstalled.

Up until several programs, I did well. So far nobody's hurt. Not me, at least. Not sure with the software developers, though.

But then, I came across bothering words. Ugh, I mean, I was bothered that there were more than one Mozilla Firefox versions. AND SO. I decided to take an action. One of the versions needed to be removed.

Feeling that it was an important decision to make, quickly I moved my finger to the oldest version of Mozilla, and ordered the laptop to remove it from my life. Forevah.

And it DID. Literally.

Not only that the oldest version was gone, the newest was too. Even worse, in fact, I couldn't find the Mozilla Firefox icon in my laptop!!

What had I done??? Oh, my God... I did it again.

Why in the world I didn't even think twice when deleting it. I felt so horribly stupid.

Then I had to open another browser, found the latest version of Mozilla, and installed it again into my laptop. HA. A smart and efficient girl would have never gone through this silly happening in her life. What a drama!

And to think that it was me again who kept documenting the silly-things-and-their-affairs into a book of record.

Phew.
if this were the icon, I might've been thinking twice, no... thrice!

To Sydney, Again!

so, welcome me back, Sydney!!

bahagia telah sampai dengan selamat sentosa... sambil mejeng *ckckck
